At All Rise Workshops, DEI isn’t lunacy — it’s our mission.
The legal profession in the UK remains disproportionately white, privileged, and privately educated.
Socio-economic background still heavily shapes who gets access to legal careers.
Thanks to the support of Simmons & Simmons, we spent two inspiring days this week at Frederick Bremer School in East London this week — a school where over 40 languages are spoken and around 34% of students are eligible for pupil premium funding.
We:
Delivered workshops to 120 Year 8 students.
Spoke with Year 10 and 11 pupils about routes into law.
Explored with staff how law could be embedded across the curriculum.
Introduced students to Sharon Chisom Ozioma Uche LLM, a brilliant aspiring barrister currently studying for the Bar Training Course.
Every All Rise Workshops is about equipping young people with knowledge, confidence, and belief in their future.
We’re closing the justice gap, nurturing civic engagement, and fostering support for justice and the rule of law.
Above all, we’re driving social mobility and breaking down barriers.
For All Rise Workshops, DEI means equity, empowerment, and essential change.
